  I had picked out a dress in November for my August wedding at another shop and after a two months, I was notified that it was discontinued. I had to find another dress as soon as possible. After hitting most Boston area shops, a friend and I decided to stop by Lillian's on a Tuesday. They're closed on Monday, so we couldn't call to make a formal appointment. We stopped in when the store opened and the sales woman was a complete snob. We explained why we didn't call and asked if we could look around. She told us "not without an appointment." We noticed the store was empty and couldn't believe she wouldn't even let us look around nor did she suggest an appointment time. We said we wouldn't be back in the area since we'd driven a long way from Boston and she just shrugged and gave us a "oh well, too bad" look. I would give my money to such an unwelcoming business (esp. in these tough economic times! You'd expect they be happy to get customers!)

  My bridal shopping experience at Lillians was amazing! First, we planned our wedding with very short notice and Lillians was able to accommodate our needs. Karen Bullock definitely has an eye for what would look good on brides and can really help you pick out the most flattering styles to try on. If you are like me and need some help knowing what would look good, this is the place to go! She found me the most perfect gown, veil, and jewelry and the prices were extremely reasonable. Start to finish this was a great experience. I just cannot stress how easy Lillians made my gown shopping and I would highly recommend the store!

  My sister was flying in for the weekend and wanted to square away many of her wedding's details. I told her I would look around before she arrived so we knew where to go. I stopped in to Lillian's and wasn't greeted, but stared down by the woman behind the counter. I had to greet her before she even acknowledged me being there, and I was the only one in the store! I explained my situation and told her I just wanted to look around, she gave me disapproving stares and told me where to go, didn't even walk me back to the gowns. The selection was nice and the prices were great. I went to the front to ask for the card and she asked me more about my sister's wedding. I explained that it was a beach wedding in Cabo and my sister wanted tea length dresses for herself and the bridal party since it was on the beach. The saleswoman said in a mean voice, "She wants a tea length bridal gown?" and made an awful look. Well that sealed the deal for me, I cant believe they actual sell gowns with such nasty salespeople running the store. The sad part is that my sister doesnt have a budget for her wedding and was willing to spend a lot on her gown and the bridal party's gowns, too bad they lost this sale because someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

  From the moment you step through the door at Lillian's you know you are somewhere special. The shop is beautiful, the sales staff could not be nicer. Their attention to detail is unbelievable. They are not pushy I never once felt pressured. Their selection of gowns is huge, and the amount of bridesmaids dresses they have is almost mind boggling. And they had a great selection of dresses for my mom too. I bought my gown, and bridesmaids and mom's dresses from them, and now I have started my fittings, and my experience has been nothing but perfect.
